Record MMF2 game?

Can anyone recommend the best one of screen-recording software for recording MMF2 games? I have tried Fraps, but it doesn't work. Hypercam works good, but the video result is poor.

as far as I know fraps is designed to record 3D and DirectX-based games, but I can't use it with MMF2 games.
I'm trying to switch the display mode from Standard to DirectX mode but still doesn't work.

If you use the directX beta, you can use Fraps to record

FastStone Capture - I use this for making screenshots, it does this task very well but i know that the recent/future versions have animated capture.

Records screen activities including onscreen changes, speech from microphone, mouse movements and clicks into highly compressed video files (Windows Media Video format).
This feature works on Windows XP, 2003, Vista and 2008

But its only starting to do that now but maybe one to keep an eye on, for screenshots however its great i think so possibly of interest to some

Just out of curiosity; what's wrong with good old printscreen (or alt-printscreen if you want to capture just the current focused window)? Does this software do anything I can't live without once I try it?

Well theres various selection tools like window, screen, custom set area etc which also has a zoom in view so you can see the exact pixel to start from, theres also then a editor for the capture so you can crop if you missed a bit etc. Much better than the default one if you ask me. It's also very cheap imo, and the other tool FastStone Image Viewer is also great, both handy and i use them a lot myself.

Fraps will only work in the HWA version of MMF.

Yeah I know Fraps can work with HWA...but HWA is too laggy for my computer, the graphics is messed up. So I won't use HWA.
