    Adding an online feature.

As some of you might know, a few friends and I are working on a 2 player platform game. We have posted a trailer and started a few threads on various forums to let people know about it. However, almost everyone is complaining about there not being an online multi-player option, so I am thinking of adding one to the game. Thing is I really haven't the slightest clue on how to make an online multiplayer game except that Mooclick or certain moo-extensions allow it. I am wondering:

    1. Is it too late to add an online feature to a game thats almost complete?
    2. Will players need a log-in name of some form to be added to the "available players" list?
    3. If we were to start the game over (full version we are totally re-doing everything) is it difficult to add an online feature?

Thanks for any help, honestly I don't even want to add online features as imo sitting by a friend playing a 2 player game is much more fun than sitting by yourself waiting for someone else to join. Unfortunately it seems that many people don't have a friend to play with so they have to resort to online play. So for the sake of people playing our game I guess I'll have to add online features.

    Anyways, thanks for any help!

    Re: Adding an online feature.

You should do some smaller projects first -- Like a chat room and learn Moo or Oinc before trying to graft it onto a big game.

Its almost certain failure to start big .. starting small then moving up to a big project would have a better chance.
