Google Indexing MFA files from the forum! Privacy!

I was doing a serach on google to see what actualy comes up if one enters my name, anyway, i recently posted an MFA file to this forum, and it has been index, i meen Google is READING the MFA and the PATH of MY COMPUTER is just visable on google!

I tought CT should do somethinga bout that, because if this si common, that meens all MMF project files are indexed, and dus all peoples private details are exposed.

what the he** are you talking about?

Anything uploaded here isn't going to be private, and the path in which it was uploaded from is hardly sensitive information.

The build path IS stored in the actual mfa but no information is kept about the paths content, it's really not worth trying to hide :grin:

Google doesn't "read" the content of the MFA, it's just displayed by Internet Explorer as if it was a text file.

EDIT: ah in fact it reads it, you are right. You have to save your files in a directory that doesn't contain your name...

I also noticed this, it's pretty annoying since I have to resave the file in my S: drive (or somewhere else) every time I want to submit something. Not that I use "My Documents" of course, but still.

In any case, I'm wondering what's the benefit of having a separate forum for uploading files, why not just use Mediafire? + It has automatic check for viruses.
