    Active won't follow frame

Any reason why a created active object won't follow the frame when the option "Follow frame" is checked in the properties during screen scrolling?

    Re: Active won't follow frame

It could be in a layer with scrolling coefficients set to 0.

    Shouldn't it be unchecked?

    Re: Active won't follow frame

If it were unchecked the active would not follow the frame.

    Re: Active won't follow frame

Jaffob, You sir were exactly right!...I have 3 layers in my project and although the original object was on layer 3 with a coefficient of 1, when I created a new one, it was created on layer 1 with a coefficient of 0. I would think that an additional objects created would be on the SAME layer as the original but this was not the case.
Thanks for your help..this would've taken me days to figure out!

    Re: Active won't follow frame

kungsangun - one thing that might help you in future problems similar to this is how the objects are numbered.

When you select an object you will see a number in the top left of the selection box similar to this 1:1

the first digit represents the layer and the second digit represents the object number.

hope that didn't sound rude, it certainly wasn't meant to do.

    lembi,
I was aware of that numbering convention. I just didnt' expect newly created object to be on a different layer than their "original" object....wierd..

    Re: Active won't follow frame

You get to select the target layer in the create object dialog, if you didn't notice...
