I am now ready to release the beta version of the Power System Object. Its features allow you to create file types, manage programs that run when your computer boots up, enable or disable the task manager, and change mouse and desktop settings. I would love to expand on this object, so please feel free to make requests!

This seems nice and great for people making apps, how about a command to run something if another app or command from the computer happens so you could make a sub app for a main program you use that doesnt have the feature etc, if it's a general windows one you could have window positioning and re-ordering so a app is not always sent to the back if used like i said above, one thing i always think when i use some apps is it would be cool to have a temp copy and paste of a input etc i could use to speed up workflow with things i commonly do etc so i planned to do something like that sometime and this sounds like the sort of object allowing you to do that sort of thing if the options get added as well as computer/windows management. Maybe the windows menu style might be a cool thing also. And possibly organize taskbar tabs. Cool beta, this is great

Since this is system object, do you can implement these functions on this extension?
- Function to change file attribute (read-only, hidden, system)
- Function to hide/show desktop icons.
- Function to hide/show taskbar.
- Function to read registry name values.
I need those functions for my app. I think it would be so easy if there is an extension that can do those functions
I made a little extension that does things like that. I've never released it because it uses the Windows API and there are differences between Windows OS systems, folder locations, registry keys, etc.
If you're interested I'll see if I can find it in my backup CDs somewhere. But your app may not work in some users PCs depending on their OS.
