    moving an active towards another active

    Hi, I'm trying to make an active object move towards the player object over time when triggered.

    I've tried using the MoveIt object, but it either crashes the build, or pops the queued active at the players position, dependent on how I've attempted to set it up.

    I've also tried the Advanced direction Object, but gives me unpredictable results.

    I'm pretty sure it's because I'm using these incorrectly. I only require movement in the x position as it's a sidescroller. Could someone please kick me in the right direction?

    You can use multiple movement types.

    Movement 1 = static
    Movement 2 = bouncing ball

    Trigger ON
    - set movement type to movement 2
    - turn flag 0 to ON

    If flag 0 is ON
    -Direction = look at other object

    Trigger OFF
    - set movement type to movement 1

    Thank you DT, it didn't even occur to me the need to change movement type, but it makes sense, I'll give it a shot!

    hmm, might need some extra help on this DT, any chance of seeing that example please?


    Edit: Scratch that, works beautifully. I was just making it unnecessarily complicated for myself. Thanks!
