    MMF2 Dev + WINE = ???

Hello, I want to ask you about compatibility WINE and MMF2 Dev 2.48. Somebody have Linux and tested it? And I really want to know compatibility tests with newest available build of WINE. I want to know it because in nearly time i want to get OpenSuse. Somebody'll help me?

MMF 2 Dev runs perfectly on Wine! We developed Chacker entirely on Wine (specifically, Darwine 1.1.9) on Mac OS X 10.5.6.

We haven't tried it on Linux, though, as we haven't had the need. But there is no reason why it shouldn't work.

Developing games on Mac for Java using MMF2 - that would have been science fiction a couple of years ago!

Gotta love the 21st century!

I'm sure some users might wonder why anyone would go through the trouble of running MMF on a non-Windows platform. Running MMF on a Mac gives us access to a nice toolkit for doing the graphics--the same programs we use for general photography purposes. And being able to use Wine means there's no need to spend 10 GB on a Windows install (via Boot Camp, Parallels or [that other] Fusion) just to run MMF.

Running it on Linux lets you use hardware that isn't supported by Vista or XP and saves the cost of a Windows license and antivirus. So this is a worthy cause.
