    Animated Backdrops?

Is it possible to use, or make animated backdrops? When I checked the backdrop objects you could only replace ONE image, that being the backdrop. But I was wondering if there is a way around this by using an animated backdrop, such as a computer displaying a graphic on the screen, or a tree waving in the wind.
Sometimes I would want some animated backdrops to be a platform object, what you actually stand on.

How would I go about making animated backdrops?

I'd just put an active object on a layer behind the foreground.

To have active objects able to be "stood on" you just need to recreate the collision events a second time with the active object instead of background collisions.

    Re: Animated Backdrops?

The thing is, I am using 16x16 tile sets for platform obstacles and backdrop images. Sometimes, depending on the level design, it could take like 2 to 4 minutes to finish, including enemies, mid-level bosses, and level end boss.
If I continue to use tiles, and the backgrounds are all active objects, wouldn't that increase the # of objects in the level/stage? In other words, the more objects I have in the level, the more chance of my apps' FPS slowing down?

What are you talking about? Is this a new extension in one of the packs? Because I don't see this particular name in my objects list.
