Effects under WINE?

Post of pure curiosity here

My laptop has both Vista and Ubuntu Linux on it. Ubuntu (Hardy Heron version) has WINE installed, so I can run MMF2 (normal and HWA) perfectly well, but Effects don't work, just blackscreening me (even in the frame editor). Should they work under WINE? If so, is a bug for Clickteam guys or the WINE guys?
If not, any plans to make it work under WINE?

I don't need Effects in WINE, I just noticed it and thought I might as well post. I don't know much about WINE either, other than it letting Linux run Windows programs without an emulator. (Oh yeah, Effects run perfectly well on the Vista partition)

probably just due to WINE having incomplete DX support or something

Wine3D supports translation from direct3d to opengl, but I don't know about shaders... and I doubt it supports translation of the shader code.
