Extension - Replacement for Browser and Browser2

Is there a replacement for browser and browser2 made by 3ee who is no longer doing development?

This allowed a user to embed a web browser into MMF.

Browser and Browser 2 didn't embed a browser window inside the MMF frame.

They only let you open an external browser window and you can do that in a stand alone EXE if you add the vitalize plug in and use its actions to open a window.

At the current time if you want to embed a browser window you need to use an activeX control.

Yes, my mistake. I must have used IE. I understand Firefox also has an activex. Any other recommendations for browser activex's?

I recommend you use the standard Windows Browser ActiveX, because everyone who has windows has that ActiveX.

Indeed. Some prefer not to have any Internet Explorer components on their PC.

Yes, but the general public has Internet Explorer. I don't bother uninstalling it, because so many games/applications use the activeX (e.g. The Sims).

wizkidweb, just because you don't 'bother' uninstalling it, doesn't mean everyone else does the same.

Which reminds me, why do I still have IE on this machine? I'm uninstalling right now.
