it should be possible to know on all extensions events, settings etc on which runtimes they will work, or a toolbar that display's all errors with your application on different runtimes.. so u can select "java mobile" and it will say something like:
"edit boxes doesn't work
setting channel volume doesn't work" and so on
its really hard to know what will work and what will not, especially if you f.ex want to make a mac version, or a different mobile version but don't have a mac or compatible mobile yourself.

Actually any extensions that do not work in the Java builds simply do not show up in the extension list. I'd say that's easy enough to find out which does or does not work.
