For MMF2 standard version if you want to sell a commercial game you need to add a credit line and a logo to your credit screen in your game to be in compliance with the runtime agreement.
For MMF2 Dev you do not need to add a credit line or logo.
What if you don't have a credits screen Jeff... say for example you make a small application, or screensaver - or whatever?

If you're selling it, you have to include the runtime agreement stuff. Though if you're selling it you should really support Clickteam and upgrade to Developer. You can easily make back the money.

I've heard this said many a time. I've never actually come across this logo anywhere. What do you mean by a credit line?
Probably you haven't ever bought a software made with MMF2 standard![]()
Before you ask.. It is well woth the upgrade I would suggest upgrading for added functionality.

Yeah if you're actually serious about selling your product, I see no reason why you wouldn't want to upgrade to Developer. I don't even sell my products and I bought the Developer version when MMF2 was first available for release just for the added options and functionality as mentioned above.Originally Posted by DJFuego
Basically, if you just want to play around with MMF2, stick with Standard, but if you are serious about distributing your creations, you really should just go ahead and spring for the Developer version.

Shawn, Sorry, I have to disagree with you. The company using my Shuttle Dispatch software only cared that it worked. The Splash Screen is not used, except to start the software. Developer is not some miracle software that will magically transform a coder into some super coder. I have seen crap software from Developer.
I have seen a shift in the forums for MMF that I observed in the old TGF/MMF forums. The only thing coming out of the old forum was upgrade to MMF1.5.
A person can be serious using MMF Standard. This is like saying "if you don't have a 60k SUV you are poor scum of the earth.
Let's promote MMF and let people decide which version to buy without publically telling them they aren't serious unless they buy Developer. I'm serious, and I have standard, and I have sold software.
Yes, Developer has more features and these are pointed out on the CT website.
