    Color Color Color :Important

Hi everyone,,Im new to the forums

I have been using MMF2 Dev for a really long time, I can do nearly anything in it
However, the one thing I cant figure, and I believe is a really important aspect of game design,is :Changing color!

I dont mean turning red into blue ,,,think about strategy games, Where the same units are colored slightly different in order to show
to which player they belong to,,,That what Im getting at

I have attached a file that shows how one person pulled it off(using alpha channel),,But I want to use actives!
In the file I have attached said active that I would like to be used

Thanks again, and I hope you geniuses can help me with this problem

Go to the rectangle tool and lower the slider named "Opacity." Then go over the entire image with a rectangle, whose color you want to use to colorize the object.

    Re: Color Color Color :Important

The rectangle tool is in the picture editor after you double click on the active object. If you then select the entire object, the opacity will show up at the bottom of the tool box. Make the opacity relatively low, around 40 %. Then select the filled rectangle, choose a color, and fill the entire image. It will seem to recolor the object, leaving the background alone.

I am assuming from your post, that you are looking to do the recolorizing while running the application, which is "a horse of a different color."

The solution you came up with in your example is pretty darn creative and I'll have to chew on it for a while to figure out what you've done.

    Good luck.

Here's an example I made. I converted the ship to 256 colors because I was lazy. But it should be easy enough to do the original one provided that you have the palette for it (you could just screenshot your paint programme or whatever).
There's probably otherways to do it but I found this to be a very easy and fast way.
It should point you in the right direction atleast.

Thanks contra nice example, im not sure why but red and purple seem to miss a few pixels, possibly green also but you don't notice it as much.
