Best way to identify unique computers?

I need a way (and an extension) that will reliably ID a computer somehow. I was thinking that a check to see what size of hdd the game was installed on would work well because probably people won't be changing the partition size very often. Is there a better identifier?

Unfortunately anything on a PC can be changed, to at least avoid false identification, i would hash in there mac address.

However web based login is the only realistic way to uniquely identify someone.

Which extension allows for getting a Mac address besides the .net extension (I've looked before..)? Please someone make an extension just for getting it quickly. :P I'm not super worried about security but a hash between the mac address, hdd size, and a random string will probably work well.

Use the pipe object to execute 'ipconfig /all'

And retrieve:

Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : <address here>
