    Ball trajectory

Hi, i'm after a simple request...I'm looking to see if anyone can code me a simple ball with physics that react in a platform environment (golf ball to be precise). The movement has to use no extensions that are not java compatible, as it will eventually end up used in a mobile game i'm beginning to develop.

I'm not the worlds greatest coder (more of an artist) but I love to create games and I can usually do most coding myself except for the stuff that requires complex math and extreme custom movements.

I need the ball to be able to fire based on a strength meter I have set up in the game, and also lose momentum as it bounces on the ground, like in real life. To give an example, would be a grenade from worms, which bounces and finally comes to rest (obviously this golf ball wouldn't end up exploding)

It's quite a large request I realise and all I can really offer is a place in the credits of the game when it's final.

    Thanks

Hmm - an exploding golf ball could be good...

Is it bird's eye or isometric (or other?) view of the game?

nope, simple platform view (side-scroller) and it's not exploding , the grenade from worms is just an example...

anyway, I have found a nice example in the file archive, so I will have a play around with that for a bit, but if anyone has an example or wants a challenge...feel free!

    the example I found was

ooo you can use the bullet widget. That has easy-to-use built in side-view gravity.
