Spreadsheet in a web page using MMF

Is the following possible? If so, could some one give me a leg up on how I'd do it?

I'd like to have an embedded table / spreadsheet in a webpage that can be updated with a simple text file.

For example, I have a table that reads from a text file that looks like this:

    Widget #1,5,£2.99
    Widget #2,2,£5.99
    Widget #3,8,£7.99
    Widget #4,7,£1.99

So the table will look something like:

    Widget Name.|.In Stock.|.Price
    --------------------------------------
    Widget #1.....|.....5.....|..£2.99
    Widget #2.....|.....2.....|..£5.99
    Widget #3.....|.....8.....|..£7.99
    Widget #4.....|.....7.....|..£1.99

The client changes this text file, like so

    Widget #1,9,£2.99
    Widget #2,32,£6.99
    Widget #3,2,£4.99
    Widget #4,1,£1.99

So the table will change on next page refresh. Basically and embedded table that the client can change a simple text file ("data.txt") too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Just to point out I'm using MMF2 Standard, I can't afford Developer at the moment.

XML would be a way to this. It is for data in a text format. There is an extension called EasyXML. Try to play around with that. You can also use notepad to do the files. The W3C website also has tutorials on how to call the XML files into your web pages using CSS or JavaScript.

    Thanks.

I take it you put the Runtime extension in the "Data > Runtime" folder but where do you put the Release version?

    In the Extensions folder.

Re: Spreadsheet in a web page using MMF

Thought it was but I'm getting an error when trying to run the example:

    Cannot load extension EasyXML.mfx

    Then

    Failed to open document

When I 'create new object', the extension isn't in the list.

I've even installed it through FusionUpdater but still the same. It says something about using 'TinyXML', I've no idea what that is.

Does it make a difference if I'm using Vista Home Premium?

Sounds like you have the runtime and ext files in the wrong places. Try to install the extension again.

I have, 3 times now. Surely FusionUpdater would have installed them correctly.

    From the EasyXML folder:

    'Runtime' into 'Data > Runtime'

    'Release' into 'Extensions'

    Is that correct?

Is anyone else having trouble with this extension? I'd really like to get this going.
