my game is having a TREMDOUS lag when doing certain things.

go to www.klikteamgame.webs.com and go to the vitalized games section. There you will find a mfa file called mario. download the file and run the entire application, or the frame called "1-1" When you are on level 1-1 if you kill all enemies, or collect the 8 red coins from the switch, a star is supposed to appear. when it does however, the game lags very badly.

can anyone tell me why

I would suggest you revist some of your eventing.
I see a lot of writing to the INI++ -- this could slow down as the computer has to access the disc.

Since you have unlimted global values just store whatever in that and then when you need to save -- save it all.

It appears your using an INI entries as variables.

The INI should only be used for saving the progress of your game to the hard disk. To temporarily store information in memory, you can use global values/strings, alterable values/strings or one of the array/array-esque extensions.

That is only what i use the INI for.
I save how many stars the person has, the current characteer, starting character, and other stats.

nothing in it is temporary
