    Tooltips - Enhancements

In MMF2 you have the ability in properties to add a tooltip. I would like to see enhancement properties such as beeing able to have multiple lines of text instead of just one. The ablility to select different styles of popup boxs. Ability to embed pictures, icons, links to html files. Etc...

What does that mean? Like for button objects and ASBs?

Yes, the current tooltip ability is very limited such as a single line of text. Also you are very limited on how large that line can be.

The popup is of a single type box. It would be nice to have a selection of popup box styles.

The tooltip object does allow multiple line but is still limited on what you can do and how large the text can be in length.

Well you can still build your own custom Tooltip with The Active Picture Object. Just draw the Tooltip as you like it and save it as .png file in your application directory. Then call it from the application. For Text I would use the Text Blitter Object as it has the most features.

Now both objects are interactive and you can position and hide/show them whereever you want.

This is how I do it in my game:
