    Subgroup Bug

If you have subgroups in the Event Editor, then if you close the main group of the subgroups and enter another Editor (Frame, Storyboard), then as soon as you enter Event Editor again and open the main group, all subgroups are open.

This is very irritating, because every time you open that group filled with subgroups, you gotta close subgroups until you've found the one you want.

Please fix this Clickteam, so that the opened/closed subgroups remains as it is, like all other groups/main groups.

    Thanks.

Can you download a sample file showing this bug so CT can look at it and fix the problem?

    Re: Subgroup Bug

How can I show the bug if it's a bug with the program and not about any of my games? Because I have this problem with all my projects. :P

Anyway, I think I'll try to show it with pictures:

This is what my Event Editor looks like in my game:

Then, I open my group "Main Engine". This is my subgroups under the group "Main Engine":

Now, If I leave the Event Editor as it is (Main Engine being OPEN) it remains as is. Main group open but subgroups closed.

HOWEVER, If I decide to close my group Main Engine, and then switch to Frame Editor or whatever, then when I come back and open up the Main Engine group, then all the subgroups are open without me even touching them!:

    Why are my subgroups open?..

I think this may have been intentional, however if it was, it's pretty annoying. Maybe Yves could change this in the next build?

    Re: Subgroup Bug

Yes, I sure hope so as well! But I still see it as an inconsistency, because this only happens with subgroups, and not main groups. Shouldn't they function the same way?

Also, if the subgroups keep opening like that all the time, why would I want to use them? I might as well just use Comments in that case. O.o

Maybe they could add an option in the Preferences > Event Editor section for this?

    Re: Subgroup Bug

Well remember, subgroups are new to MMF2, so if they were just newly added then they might have a few inconsistency issues when they try to associate themselves inside Main Groups.

    True, true guys.

Guess we can only wait and hope now, there's no more to say.
I created the topic so I might as well end it.
