    Connecting?

I followed DizzyDoo's amazing video tutorial number 2 and right away I couldn't get the connecting... string to change to connected. I can't connect to localhost. I'm not even sure if I can connect to other networks, is there anyway to troubleshoot this in internet options or the server page or some such thing?

    Re: Connecting?

Are you running the server before you try to connect?

    Re: Connecting?

how would I do that? I'm new (obviously) to this networking stuff. I'm using a wireless internet with a laptop connecting to a linksys - if that helps.

I don't know the least bit about servers - It might have to do with just my computer, it probably works on others' computers, but then how do I test it?

    Re: Connecting?

Just run the server exe that comes with it. You'll be able to connect to "localhost", or "127.0.0.1" on port 6121.

    Re: Connecting?

Oh, yeah. I have the "Start of Frame" > Connect to "localhost" on port 6121.
And then "On connect" blah blah blah.

Is that what you mean? Or what server exe?

    Re: Connecting?

It has to have something to connect to. If you look in the OINC.zip you downloaded, there should be a file called "OINC_Server.exe" under the Server folder. Run it, and then connect to localhost.

    Re: Connecting?

Oh. I didn't download the right one maybe because I don't have that. Thanks!

EDIT: I did, but I guess I didn't extract everything! *Slaps face*
