Fade In of Animation Object doesn't work

Tried everything - running the application in different colour modes (16 million etc), creating it on start of the frame or later during runtime, etc etc. The Fade In just gets ignored no matter what. On one occasion it worked but it messed up the colours in the background. So - how do I make it work?

Oh and btw why does it have the data fields for the size - the animation object can't be directly resized (the fields are always ghosted anyway)?

Hmm... it seems some transitions work fine, like the Fade transition, but others don't. I'll try to see why.

EDIT: ah, I was testing with the HWA version, fade transitions don't work fine with the Animation object. Transitions work fine with the normal version or in standard graphic mode.

The size boxes give the size just for information. They are disabled because you can't change the size.

I'm using the non-HWA version and the Fade In transition does not work here... I'm creating it during runtime so maybe this is what causes problems?

Also the Animation Object completely ignores the custom timing of frames in a .gif file, is there a way to use this information while playing the animation? Would save some frames being needlessly repeated.

Could you send me an example for both problems? I don't see what could make the transitions not to work and in theory it should handle the timing of frames...
