Running MMF on a Pen Drive

    Huzzah all!

I want to check if this is doable / legal:

I have a potential client some distance away and I need to visit him to test a new project. Can I put MMF (at least a limited version of it) on my 8GB flash pen, so I can make any needed adjustments on-site?

I don't think so, as MMF2 requires registry entries to run, and these won't be on the target computer. I guess you could put VMware player on it, complete with an operating system with MMF2 installed!

Re: Running MMF on a Pen Drive

A few months ago i found a way to do it, however it removed the need for a CD serial key; so i decided not to post an example.

My understanding is; if you payed for MMF you can use it personally in any way you like, however any version of MMF which does not require installation also does not require registration so distributing it would certainly be illegal.

Install a copy of XP on http://www.virtualbox.org/ and then install MMF on that. Store the image along with virtualbox and you can mount it anywhere.

Has anyone tried MMF on a netbook yet? those little intel atom chips are pretty powerful and the netbooks are pretty cheap too for a static drive model.
