    Is this a known problem?

After using build 249 for a few days I noticed that not all of my objects are shown in the Insert Object dialog. When the option "All Objects" is highlighted on the left I can only see 13 objects. Many categories are empty when I select them (3d, audio, control, etc). It happened to me twice on two different machines. I also have all bonus packs installed.

But the most important thing - how do I fix it?...thanks.

Do you have something selected in the build type?
    This filters the objects.

Another option is to reinstall build 248 and check again when another beta of 249 is released.

I am trying to build a Stand-Alone Java for Mobile Devices. If I create a new app (just a default one) then everything shows. It does look like a filtering, though. But I have Static Text object that supposed to be supported and it is not showing up.

It may be supported in a future build of Java not the build in 249 -- I am not sure.

At worst you could switch it to stand alone EXE create your game then switch it to java right before you build it.

I think Yves is putting in some options on the filtering in the next release.

Tht objects shown in the insert object dialog are the object supported by the current type of build.
There will never be any controls (buttons, list box etc.) in Java mobile: they do not exist on this platform.
