a stupid problem

I have an object controlled by the mouse movement. whenever I switch it's mouse movement on, however, it jumps to the lower right side of the screen, even if the mouse movement perimeters prohibit it from doing so. I have checked and checked again, but there are no events setting its position. any ideas of what's going on?

Don't use the default Mouse Movement. Use an Active and set its positions to the X,Y of the Mouse, and hide the Mouse. You will get more control this way.
