Crash when using a Transition with Sub Apps

I'm running into a crash when trying to use a transition with a sub app. Has anyone encountered this problem and found a workaround? I am using build 248.

I am actually following a sample on nivram's website. He destroys the subapp at the start of the main frame. I think that is what is causing the problem with the transition.

I'm using the subapp as a shop screen that pops up in the game when you touch an npc. I am setting the subapp to popup/modal so the game will pause. If anyone knows a workaround I'd appreciate it. In the meantime, I have a fullscreen black image that fades over top of the frame instead.

PS. Does anyone know any good tutorials or resources for subapps? The help file is basically empty.

mobichan, recreate my example but don't detroy it at the start of the frame. See if that works.

There is a "create at start" checkbox in the properties of the sub appl. Uncheck it and the sub application will not get created at start.

Marv: If I remove the destroy command, my window loses focus after a second or two. I'm not sure why. It seems like the destroy command is necessary here.

That is strange. I will play around with the example and experiment.
