    Re: Level Editor

Weka i think i have a simple solution for you.
put all of the objects, that they can edit (the ones they use to make their own levels) and put them all into a single qualifier.

The put the name of each object in Alterable String 1.

    do Always: Spread Value 1.

Then have a button for them to save.

when they click the button do this. ( i am using the ini++
Button "Save" is clicked "Save object (each individual object).

Start of frame. Load object(each individual object)
This just a theory. probably wont work, but is worth a try

I thought he was talking about the backdrops? And I didn't know he was working on saving them?

    Re: Level Editor

Yeah but then I'd have to re-program everything like deleting the backdrop walls and reposition the wall (active)

    Re: Level Editor

I don't know if it's of any help at all...

But has anyone made a level importer for MAPPY?

For anyone who doesn't know, MAPPY is a fantastic and Free (for the standard version) 2D Tile Level editor. (PRO version is £10. that's about 3 pints. Well worth it!)

I've used it loads, it is is really comprehensive in what it does.
It *might* (not gaurenteed) be easier and more useful to import the data it outputs.

Although I suppose someone would need to do all the groundwork of conversions etc. (a handy widget or extension perhaps?)

But if someone did, I think that'd be awesome.
I mean, what's the point in everyone having to make their own level editor etc, when there is a good one out there already.

    Re: Level Editor

Out of interest, how does it compare to this, which would probably be a better tool for the programmer to work with.
