i am trying to make a file hidden, and based on what i have seem most people use the pipe object.

Are you trying to run a file invisibly?

    Re: pipe object

no, i am using a file selection frame, and i dont the player to "accidently" delete the file. (saves to application path)

If it is hidden, then they have a less chance of deleteing it.
If they find it, and they delete it.... then its their problem

I want to load the hidden file with the AssArray

    Re: pipe object

Why would you use the Pipe Object to hide your file? Can't you just change the attributes to "Hidden" with Sphax's File/Folder Object or something? Or save the file to the users Temp directory?

Sorry, I had a brain poop.
I meant Jaffob's Power System Object. It has the capability to change the attributes of a file/folder at runtime.

    Re: pipe object

I'm actually not sure. If nothing else though, you could just unhide the file, save it, and then hide it again.
