BUG: MMF2 Dev Build 249 Java Beta 2 - sticky mouse

I have no idea what's causing it but this is the 5th/6th time it has happened to me now.

Suddenly, seemingly after editing the size properties of an object via the docked properties palette, the mouse becomes locked in some state.

Just now it had locked so that I couldn't click to select an item in a frame - I just had a continuous "grab hand" mouse pointer and clicking anywhere on the frame resulted in (if held down) the frame being dragged around in the window.

I went to the event editor and was unable to select anything in there although I could double click on things, just not select to highlight clicking.

This persisted through 6 exit/reloads of MMF with both new and existing applications and also the mouse being unplugged and replugged. I came here to write this report and the mouse has started working again in the MMF window which was still open in the background.

I have a Logitech mouse running Mouseware 9.79.025 with driver version 9.79 and am running fully patched XP Pro SP2 with 2GB RAM and nothing else loaded, except for Firefox and background things like ZoneAlarm.

It's possible this has only been happening after restarts of the PC from standby, but I can't remember each occasion and whether that is definitely the case. It certainly was this time.

    Cheers,

    Simon.

You acidentally pressed the spacebar. Press it again to change it back.

The hand cursor should appear when you hold down Space - try hitting the Space bar to clear it, if it ever happens again.

I didn't experience this for ages, but then found that it usually happened after watching videos full-screen on Youtube (I think it grabs the space bar somehow).

So it does... you learn a new thing everyday eh!! If this ever locks up again I'll make sure to try that - thanks.

However said, I certainly didn't press space at any time during the 6 reloads of MMF so there's still a bug causing something to get jammed in memory or somewhere or other.

Whilst on the subject of what is clearly a productivity shortcut that I never knew about... is there a key to tab through items in the property palette, rather than having to click on each one with the mouse?
