    "Drawing" Trails

I have an active object which I want to have a white trail as it moves around. I realize that I could simply create a small white oval over it every hundredth of a second, but this seems primitive, not to mention wasteful. How can I give it a "Trail"?

Position a white object underneath the active and alwways pate it into the background, it doesn't create any new objects and isn't wasteful.

Is there any way to get the pasted white trail to go away after a while?

Maybe, instead of pasting to the back ground keep it as an active, then after a certain amount of time destroy it?

That would work, but it goes back to the root problem of being wasteful

    Re: "Drawing" Trails

Well, if it is destroyed I don't think that would be wasteful. It shouldn't be too much different than having an active then pasting it. Just a suggestion.

    Re: "Drawing" Trails

each time you move create an active and destroy it right away, have a disapear animation or set the fade out to fade end play with the times. This way the object will fade when created. As long as those are destroyed properly you will not have any problems with slowdowns or object limit.
