    Moving platform help

I tried the tutorial by DavidN for using moving platforms in a platform game but I just couldn't get it to work.

Ultimately I would like to have platforms that can move the player any direction (angle), but I'll be happy with just straight horizontally moving or vertically moving platforms.

One of the biggest problems is that the player sometimes falls right through the platform if he falls from too great a height. Problem is, it needs to be a "ghost platform". You know, the kind you can jump up onto from below. The problem with that is that you would only want the player to actually land on top of the platform if his feet reached the top edge of the platform. This generally conflicts with some of the safety collision events designed to keep players from going through platforms, because usually it results in something bizarre like pulling the player up onto the platform from his head or something.

I feel like this is a never-ending struggle. I really hope someone is willing to help me with this step-by-step.

    Re: Moving platform help

Well for starters you could compare the Y Bottom of the player to the Y Top of the platform. And for any direction, I have a 360 degrees moevement example here that you can use to move the platform in any direction and use as offset for the player while he/she is on the platform.
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3
