    Falling collectables

Hi, whats the easiest method for creating collectables that are dropped from an active when it is destroyed without having them sink into the floor when they land, i've tried using a bouncing ball movement, and a few other things involving flags but i'm having a bit of trouble with my collectable either sinking into the floor or stopping too soon

any help would be much appreciated
    thanks

Just manually move the X and Y of the object, simply have it always move donw, unless it's coliding with the backgorund. And if it's overlapping the background, move it up.

I tried something like that already and it worked ok for if i wanted the item to fall down slowly but when i changed it to fall down faster it pushed my object back up to far

Then you can fastloop it up one pixel at a time until it's correct. There is a great tutorial on exactly this using fastloops. Link on the sidebar>>>

    Re: Falling collectables

thanks, I did some experimenting in the last couple of minutes and found certain values seem to work and others don't i think it has something to to with the size of my object/backdrop and the actives initial position or something like that but i'll take a look at the tutorial
