easy way to change the layer an object is on?

Is there a shortcut or easier way to change tha current layer an object is on without copying it, pasting it into the new layer and then deleting it from the original layer?

Cutting/pasting doesnt work as you will lose your events if it is the last of that object in the frame.
I was hoping there would be an easy solution but I havnt found anything in the help files or in the menus.

You can drag the object onto another layer on the layer toolbar to change it.

Doh! Knew there was an easier way. Would be good if there was a keyboard shortcut though like ctrl and + or -. Thanks mate!
