MMF2 - Unable to Get Update Information

I open MMF2 and Clicked on Check on Update under Help.

It display the Getting Update Dialog and then a error message appears "Unable to retrieve information about the update".

Anyone else having this problem?

How do I check which beta I have? I see build 249 but I don't remember if I have #5 installed?

If in doubt you can always just put the latest one on.

About update checking, I'm having a wierd issue with it. Every time I start MMF, it checks for an update. The "Check for Update Every..." setting is set to 2 weeks.

Yeah, I've never had much success with the auto update either. Much easier to just download the latest from here.

If it's broken i don't see the point in having it really. But it would be nice to have some sort of extension updater and a decent check for updates system added i think.

Maybe at some point clickteam could make a area on the website for extension developers where they login. They could upload extensions with a version number, description and notes etc and then it notes the user a new versions out when they check for updates. Yeah i know theres 3rd party apps to do it btw if anyones thinking of saying that but they don't always stay up to date right away and it would be much better built in to MMF as default.

A built in extension system is on the list for MMF3.
