Anyone? These servers have been down for a while now...

Sorry about ledev pylacewing being down, had some issues after upgrading some software, which I managed to fix, but I forgot to start pylacewing.
I have also noticed that it is quite heavily used so I might need to create an registration service of sorts or put some limits on the server. Any suggestions?

I think the reason it is heavily used is because server.klikfarm.com is down, and the other public servers don't have up-times nearly as high as ledev. As a result, there aren't any good alternative servers to use. How would a registration system work, exactly? I mean, how would you prevent people from using it without a registration? Anyway, maybe you could put limits on the server. I think that maybe you could limit the amount that could be sent from a specific IP address per day. 100 MB maybe? 10 MB? 1 MB? I think 1 MB might be too small, but, then again, I don't know how much ledev is being connected to. 100 MB might be too big if you are having really high amounts of usage, but, otherwise, it could be the option that people like best. 10 MB sounds like the best option to me. Right in the middle, not too small, not too big.

Bandwidth isn't a problem it is pylacewing eating up to much CPU.
Probably due to a lot of people doing stuff like "always -> send position", I was thinking more
of a limit on how often a client can send a message to the server and if the limit is broken drop
all the messages from that IP.
Registration could work like this, the application/game creator signs up and get a key that he
needs to pass onto the server when his application/game connects and if it doesn't have
a vaild key the IP will be banned for a day.
Just ideas - I will probably just keep it unlimited for now anyways. And I like you don't have a
faint idea about how much it is being used all I know is that the thing that uses most resources
is pylacewing on my server.. Perhaps I should add some stats to it hmm..

Villy, server-registration sounds like a good plan to me.
Maybe I can help someway (resource wise) I'm unsure atm as I have LOTS on my plate until next week but I'll talk to you about it at some point anyway.

I don't know if www.aquadasoft.com:6121 works.

aquadasoft has been long since moved to ledev.org(old server, will move to new soon) and I am also running an additional server at creativity.sx(running on my new server) (I am in between moving servers so I got two atm)

mmf2 dev crashes, if i try to connect to "creativity.sx" or "ledev.org" for testing... is this server side problem? (running the latest beta of mmf2)

What version of Lacewing are you using? You shouldn't get crashes from connecting to servers.
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3
Version 20 of lacewing and the newest Beta of mmf2dev
