    Control X question

Control X has three types of conditions to detect if a key is pressed.

    1: Key pressed
    2: Key down
    3: Repeat while key pressed

I know how #3 is special, but what are the differences between #1 and #2? They are both false conditions, and both triggers one time when the key is being pressed.

    Re: Control X question

From the wording I would think that "Key down" triggers once on the actual action of a key going from the "up" to the "down" state, and "Key pressed" just checks for the key being down (so if the rest of a multi-line event with this condition becomes true while the key is down, it'll trigger once for "Key pressed", but not trigger for "Key down").

I've been reworking the controls on my own game recently, and definitely had to experiment a bit - this is my best guess!
