Scrolling

Hi, I'm making a fighting game and I wanted to make it feel like a real fighting game. I wanted to know if there is a way to make the scrolling so its not centered on one person, but instead, kind of lingering in between the two fighter(like the scrolling in Street Fighter).

Scroll Between Two Players:
Simply center screen to (player1 + player 2)/2

I put in: ("Active"+"Active 2")/2

It said it wasn't a valid function.

Always ->> Center Screen Horizontally --> X( "Active" )+X( "Active 2" )/2
Always ->> Center Screen Vertically --> Y( "Active" )+Y( "Active 2" )/2

I was also wondering if anyone knew how to make characters do wall slides like Megaman Zero, and double jumps.
