I need semitransparent active system box :(

I wish the active system boxes semitransparency setting actually worked

Is there any other extenson I could use to create filled rectangles, then easily move, change color, change semi-transparency, and change dimensions on the fly?

scaling a solid filled bitmap and using the replace color action... there no beter way? I'm guessingthis is a bit more processor greedy than an actually system drawn filled rectangle..

Well since Active System Box uses Windows control to display it...I don't think it's possible.

I do this all the time.
Set the background to an image. Make that whatever you want, and then go to alpha channel. Select an average grey (128,128,128), fill, and hit ok.

But I need to change the color AND alpha frequently to unknown settings at runtime. Is that possible?
