Transparent input box?

Hey everyone!

First of all, big thanks to the community for the amazing amount of resources, extensions and snippets available here! And of course to Clickteam for their powerful, easy to use software.

Now, if I could pick the brains of some of you guys...

Basically, I'm trying to put some form of transparent input method into my application. The background image is a quick backdrop. I want the user to be able to type as if they were typing into an edit box, but with the input box transparent so it appears they are typing onto the image!

I have tried so many different ways of doing this, such as having a rich edit box outside the application screen so that the user is typing into that, but their text is writing itself to a string in the main window - but that's not practical if the text has to be altered.

If anyone can help out with this I'd be eternally grateful, since it's pretty much the defining feature of the application.

Alright found it, can be done with a regular edit box if you enable multiline! Can't believe I missed that :whistle:
