Tiled image from file?

Is there a way to make an image, taken from a file, repeat-x and y? The active picture object has no Tile feature AFAIK.

what about paste into backdrop/add backdrop functions?

The active picture does it nicely, but you need to use its "create backdrop object" action and set up a fastloop that creates every tile. The technique is very similar to the one used for level editors although a bit easier.

Wait, I think the Background Images Object has a 'pattern' feature which allows you to do that. Might be worth checking out?
