IMAP email object / extension / ActiveX?

    Hi,

I'm trying to implement a simple connection to Gmail's email service, through IMAP.

I haven't found any existing solution in the form of an MMF extension / object.
Therefore, I've been trying to play with some ActiveX objects such as:

    Dart Mail for ActiveX

    Clever Internet ActiveX Suite

    AfterLogic MailBee ActiveX Objects

But so far, without any success. It appears that MMF doesn't fully support those objects.

    Can anyone in here help?
    Thanks!

You need to do it with IMAP? Otherwise you could use the e-mail object (mmf pro) and connect to Gmail through POP3.

Well, of course I'm aware of the POP3 option.
But it has a tremendous disadvantage when it comes to being in-sync with the inbox.

My application really requires such kind of implementation.
Any help will be very appreciated!
    Thanks!

There is an IMAP extension for mmf 1.5

    Maybe it can be converted?

Really? Where can it be found? Does MMF2 Dev version support it?

no, MMF2 Dev doesn't support it.

The original source code needs to be converted for it to work.

EDIT: Whoops, looks like this object can only send mail.

    The description says:
"This object lets you send emails through your email client. The title is something of a misnomer, since IMAP is a protocol for receiving emails - MAPI is closer to the truth with this one."

OK, so is there any other solution available?
    What about the ActiveX controls?
Or should I take the direction of a .NET solution?
