    Iffy collision detection

In a little side-scrolling shooter thing I'm making, I'm noticing a strange amount of collision problems between the bullets and enemies. Some enemies destroy bullets upon contact but do not have their health AV reduced, or take more bullets than they should (the white squiggly things) and yet others show absolutely no sign of a collision (the round little pods). Sorry for not grouping and commenting, but I only noticed after I had uploaded, which is a massive amount of time on my crappy internet connection. Anyway, the "culprits" are events 41-73, inclusive. arrows guide your ship, holding S fires your weapon, and hitting A switches it (display in upper-right hand corner.) Also, Frame 2 is the frame in question.

Alright, I found that in the case of completely ineffectual bullets, I had cloned and not copied the enemy objects, but enemies still take more bullets than they should.

Did you clone and not copy bullets?

Well, It's a "create" function, so cloning would be hard. Anyhow, my problem is that while being destroyed, the bullets don't decrease the health AV.

Would the shoot an object function work? You don't need a movement or anything and can reduce the value for the health on collision, as well as destruction.

    Re: Iffy collision detection

It wouldn't, because I need one of them to stop without being destroyed, something the "shoot" command cannot do.

Try changing events that tests if health of enemy is equal to 0 for testing if it is lower or equal 0.
