Game cheats/shortcuts fail netbook celeron m 353

Curious and needing answers to a software/hardware problem.

I have posted on game forum but no response and with netbooks being VERY popular (including gamers) right now, I hope to arouse some interest here and maybe find an reason or solution.
Accordingly this software (MMF) is used to author game.

O k I am newbie, game brainless and actually just trying to help my wife out .
She loves mario forever and hats off to developers and softendo.
problem is in level 1 at opportunity to warp to level 4

as you can see i can easily perform this on my office computer win xp pro amd 2.0 G 1 G ddr but on our little asus netbook win xp home 900 mhz 1 G ddr2 I (we) cant seem to get the warp to work.
I am not sure of actual conditions required ,ie : big mario, mario w/ firepower obtain all coins before warp, kill turtle, etc. I have tried all possibilities I can think of and still will not work. i also tried changing compatibility to win 95 but no luck.
since netbooks are relatively new I thought this would be a worthwhile endeavor to pursue a solution or perhaps someone explain what we are doing wrong.

I hate to reply to my own post that has no solutions even from moderators or developers.
This freak of software annoyance also occurs when trying to warp to hardcore level on the netbook. I repeat I can easily do this on my desktop so the glitch is related to the netbook either in the cpu or graphics processor.
As my wife states I just want to know why it works on your computer but not on mine.
A far as my efforts I have tried version 2, 4, and 4.4 ---all the same results.
Also cleaned disk, registry and applied all updates to xp home.
still searching for solution or reason for odd behavior in mario forever 4.4.

Have you had any other Netbook user report the error?

I have a netbook right here so do you have a link to the game and I can see if I can reproduce it.

I have tried numerous ways to override this, latest was overclock netbook (900mhz)using eeectl to 990mhz no dice argh!!!!
