Can you run MMF2 Dev on a thumb drive?

Hi, I don't think it is possible, but is it possible to run MMF2 Dev (legal) on a thumb drive, like a portable app?

No, registry entries are required. If it were designed to write into an INI or XML file it could work, but it isn't designed for portability.

Re: Can you run MMF2 Dev on a thumb drive?

I wrote a program a little while back in MMF which allowed you to backup your installed version of MMF onto a portable device, but ofcoarse the portable version is exactly analogous to a crack.. so i decided against releasing it.

It would be great if Clickteam themselves released a licensable, potable version (especially since it works flawlessly without any significant changes)

Re: Can you run MMF2 Dev on a thumb drive?

Considering how easy it would be to lose the drive device and the software (and you would be legally responsible for any license lost), and also the pirate issues, creating a portable version is not really on our list of things to do at the moment.

I would also say that we would prefer people not to discuss how to make it portable really (even if you know how to do it).
