    Rotating an overlay?

Hi, whats the easiest way to rotate an overlay redux?
I dont want to loop through each pixel and redraw it, i simply want to be able to do a quick 90degree rotation in either direction.

The only way I have seemed to figure out is to use the alpha channel object and import the image from the overlay and then rotate it in the direction I want. But once I rotate the alpha object i try to paste the result back into the overlay but it seems it doesnt actually store the rotated image and only rotates it as it is drawn on screen.

I can make do with the alpha object if need be and use it to display the contents of the overlay, but would also like to know what other options there are

    Re: Rotating an overlay?

I would go with the Image Manipulator Object. Even when this would mean to load and save the image temporary.

I wish Image Manipulator Object and Overlay Redux would be able to communicate in ram ...

This is a standard MMF extension. Either it is natively inside or needs one of the Extension Packs

    Re: Rotating an overlay?

hmm you are right I never even seen that before. Ill try that but want to avoid saving a file and loading rotating, saving then loading again if I can.
If anyone else has other suggestions also I would love to hear them
