I'm surprised noone else has brought the subject up, but I, for one, am sure curious what is happening with the Flash plug in. Anyone able to provide an update? Thanks,
Steve

I am pretty sure it is not a plug-in, and that we will be able to export to an swf file. A while back somone asked for an MFA to be exported to flash by one of the developers, and the result was really nice, so it is definantly working somwhat.

Since I am hoping to get this asap, I was wondering how it is going to be distributed. Is it a digital or retail package? And will it only be available online or will some retailers carry it?

Digital, online only.

Getting information out you guys is pretty tough. No wonder the Bush administration allowed water boarding.

Let's not turn this into a political argument. Water boarding is torture and Christopher Hitchens makes a very good point about it. Clickteam, nevertheless, is very careful about giving out information about its products. I guess they can't help it.

Did not mean to ofend anyone and I don't know who Christopher Hitchens is. My point is that while I understand why Clickteam is reticent about giving out information, an update once in awhile would be appreciated and helpful to users. It has been two months since the announcement about the Flash upgrade.

The Flash Runtime is going to be distributed online only and there has been conducted a very extensive closed beta testing to ensure that the runtime is as stable as possible when it's realeased.
This has taken some additional time, but the result is a runtime thats faster and now appears a lot more stable than the Java Runtime beta that we have all had for a while.
While I can't cast any light on when it will be out, I can tell you that once released this will be very complete package both in term of extensions converted and the stableness of the runtime.
Hopefully the wait will be over soon

Really looking forward to this. Java applets are great, but this will be even better.Originally Posted by Burfelt

I can already see some of Aquadasoft's extensions are both Java AND Flash ported. That's a nice touch, if I do say so!
