I need some help for making platform game

    Dear Clickers,
I am making a platform game for school going kids 5 to 10 year. I need some help/tips regarding level scrolling as below:
[*]Background picture is moving with player like others object and platforms. How to stop only background picture. (Like Mario bros).[*]How to use springs for high jump. [*]How to use moving platforms

Please forgive me for my bad English.
    Regards,

Unless your saying that when the screen scrolls you want the Background picture to stay in place and follow the player?
As for the other two what kind of platform system are you using: Built in platform movement, custom platform movement, or Platform Object?
