creating apps for the web - newbie question

    Hi There
I've never used MMF for java before. I just created a very simple test app and when I ran it in Firefox I get a message saying 'this application requires an earlier version of Java..etc)', however, i don't get this in IE, just the usual restirction bar at the top, asking me if i want to run the app.

Will these kind of messages always appear when embedding apps into html?

You mean a newer version of Java. Not earlier... If this is the case then download and install the latest version it shoudl work.
You'll get messages only under IE, but not on the other browsers : you application should work straight up.

I think the message in IE is only because you're running the application from on your pc. It doesn't give that message from on the internet.
