    Re: MMF2 Build #249 - Pre-release version

Yes! weird Fire button behaviour and the "save-frame-position" problem are my 2 pet niggles.

I think Save-Frame mainly has a problem with objects that are A) Numerous (ie. there are a lot of them), B) Being destroyed and C) Being launched.
But I can't seem to pin it down really.
It seems to be to do with how "load-frame-position" recreates the objects in an incorrect ghostly not-quite-there state.

I'm not sure why, but "Execute external program" isn't working for me!

Hi Ricky. How is it not working? Crashing? Does nothing?

    Thanks

Doesn't do a thing. I opened up a brand new project, and used a fixed pathname on start of frame, and selected the file with browse. Nothing was checked for "Wait for End" or anything, and there was no command line.

    Doesn't do a thing.

It works fine for me and I have done several tests. Not sure why RR is having issues.

Ricky, if you use Vista or 7, is the application you try to run in admin mode? (like installers)

If so, the "Execute External Program" action doesn't work in this case, unless your application is in admin mode too. We'll try to make it work in a future build. In the meantime you can use the Open URL function of the Vitalize! object, it will display the Vista/7 autorization dialog box before running the program.

    Re: MMF2 Build #249 - Pre-release version

On my HTML editor, Vista does not ask fot "it will display the Vista/7 autorization dialog box before running the program" when I open IE using Vitalize "open URL". At least in this case with me.

Yves said that was if the application you were running needed to be run as administrator.

    Re: MMF2 Build #249 - Pre-release version

Clickteam, I am still getting having issues with the groups not retaining their open/closed states with every MMF session. Would it help if I sent my mfa file and see if you alos have the problem? Could there be something file specific that would cause this problem?

Also, what is the best method of removing active objects from a file that stay in the workspace toolbar, even if all events and copies of the object have been removed?
