    Re: Flash runtime TRIAl?

    Hi,

I had a lot of troubles with java and there seem to be problems for others too.

Only compiling to java or flash is not the solution for me. The solution is only a compiled file whitch is working (not crashing).

Looking forward for flash demo exporter to see if it is OK for my apps.

    Regards, Herbert

Java Runtime was and is still being tested by the entire community. It was released as an open beta, and subsequent fixes have therefore been numerous.

Now the Flash Runtime story is a bit different. It is a payed add-on, and it was decided to test it differently.
A closed beta testing was conducted, and over 5000 example files were systematically build, tested and compared against the exe runtime.

What I'm saying is, that a lot of effort has been put into developing the Flash Runtime, and from my experience it has payed off. The runtime appears a faster, and more stable experience than it's Java counterpart.

If you are holding back your buy because you are afraid that the Flash Runtime might not be as mature as the Java Runtime is, then I've hopefully put your worries to rest.
One thing is sure. Clickteam is committed to updating and improving all runtimes. The latest staff hiring should reflect that

    Hi,

ListView is not ported, however, Active and Backdrop are, they are core objects in MMF - Along with Score, Lives, Counter, Quick Backdrop, String, and Question & Answer.
