clear screensaver

I was wondering if theres anyway to make a screen saver that shows your desktop but overlays the objects in mmf2 overtop them (see bubble screensaver in vista). Basically i want the white background of the application to be clear but not any active objects that i put into the frame. I found post that explain how to make the entire window transparent but that will also make the objects transparent as well.

any help is greatly appreciated

You can do one of two things:

A. Using pop-up sub apps you can make the entire main window transparent and have the sub apps float around. The downside is that the Window Shape object would be good for this but it doesn't support alpha channel yet. It will in a later build. This method i if you want to see stuff mvoing in the background, like a refreshing web page that was left open.

B. In the frame properties check "Grab Desktop at Start" and have at it. The downside is that there is n way to grab it again...

Option b is pretty slick and i didn't know about grabbing the desktop. That works as long as i have the frame size set to the same resolution as the monitor... unless you know a way to dynamically adjust the frame size according to monitor resolution
Im not worried about a dynamically clear desktop. as long as it pretends then thats fine with me

"Resize display to fill window" or something similar should work, else you can use the Window Control object to get the screen size and rsize the frame and frame window to that.
